He may not be named Coach of the year but for what he has done from where LSU was he damn sure deserves it.

My marker...

2000 LSU playing in Peach Bowl vs. Ga Tech and won (great 2nd half!). Announcers, impressed, said LSU should be a pre-season #13 ish the following season.

This may not impress today. But, that was coming off doldrum 1990s and imploded 1999 season.

That was the marker that proved true; great things followed (Coach Saban).

Getting similar re-charge boost from Coach Kelly, and I love it!!

For certain we’ll make the playoffs in that time, maybe win one or two!

He had to scramble to put together last year's class, so the fact that we're still in contention for the SEC West is a big testament to BK and his coaching staff. With a full year to recruit, and without the restrictions he had at ND, who knows what he can do? Let's find out.

It’s honestly unbelievable what he’s been able to do with Orgeron leftovers and transfers, as well as a lackluster QB room with our best option being a guy who can barely throw it in front of his face.

I thought he was just cashing a check but this dude is hungry. Loved his enthusiasm on the sidelines and frequent f-bomb drops.

His judgement years will be 24/25 seasons once he has his players and experience with them...in 23 his first real recruiting class will be just freshmen...we will still contend for the west next year with who we have now stays.

Well, he better get to work! Recruiting class is #6 in the SEC right now.

Flipped a LB recruit from Aranda today and moved into the top-5 nationally according to On3

Which is 3rd in the SEC behind Bama and UGA.

I would add the fact the kids having another full year of BK system I.e. nutrition and conditioning. Hell everyone of these kids will have another 10 to 15 pounds of lean muscle! Put 15 lbs on #40 and he is a pure blood animal!

The way he filled needs in short order for this season leads me to believe LSU will be steamrolling by 24!

Not a knock on BK, but I was thinking 6 wins would be good considering LSU had, what 39-40 scholarship players in January?

We’re 6-2 with less than 65 scholarship players available. Just think about that.

Two $100 million dollar coaches, Kelly and Jimbo, and LSU hired Kelly instead being stuck with someone who’s a laughing stock of the SEC.

He seems pretty obsessed with winning a national championship. That is his driving motivation right now.

It is kinda fun, IF you can see it and force patience upon yourself, to watch happening right before our eyes.

If you believe this is what LSU Football is doing right here, right now (and I do)- it is an enjoyable thing to see.

The pace is pretty damn awesome too.

The man sat at Notre Dame for years and watched the SEC have its pick of the best athletes out there - mainly LSU and Alabama. Now he’s the head man at LSU and can get almost anyone he wants. He’s drooling over the potential he has now and wants it all.

^^THIS^^

And you can add the success he's had this year into the mix as well. If we somehow beat Bama in his first year with a patchwork roster, what do you think that tells potential recruits?

Instead of wondering whether or not to join a rebuilding program, they'll be wondering if they should jump in and commit while there's still a roster slot available.

And, just like with Saban at Bama, success will breed further success. After this first year, if Kelly continues to improve the team over the next few years LSU will become a prime destination for blue-chip recruits.

My dream is for LSU to become so desirable to 5* recruits that we don't have to continually worry about flips (or outright losing recruits) to Bama.

Coach O is living rent free in your heads, I don’t think about him at all.
