The way things are going in our country and society just keeps me angry most of the time. I’ve become cynical, jaded, and downright resentful, and I don’t like it.

Unplugging from media and social media would seem to be a solution, but it wasn’t for me. I tried it for a little while, nothing improved. I know that this is common with aging, but not to this degree. Anyone know of a way to cope with all of this without going completely off the grid?

I’m only 29 and I already want to pimp slap the vast majority of people I come across

What do you listen to when driving or whenever you have a chance to listen to something?

Do you still consume news even if its not on social media?
Just get away from it if so. Listen to music or.. I like to listen to a few comedian podcast. I just try not to take life too serious.

Me too. It’s been more than three years. It’s been since TDS was clearly seen in MSM, academia, bureaucrats, 3 letter agencies, etc.

Did you really try, though? What was it that you were finding you were getting angry at?

If you really did try this, maybe it is a personal issue. Try exercising, or like the guy above said, going to church.

Best thing I found is to just focus on your kids and your family and your friends and your life. That’s really all you can control and affect.

Try to do good, or at least not do bad.

Don’t go looking for trouble but if it rears it’s ugly head strike hard and fast

Try to find the silver linings. Waking up is a win.

Values and culture change over time for better or worse. There’s nothing you can do about it. Just enjoy your remaining years. Whatever problems you think exist in this country will be irrelevant when you die. Those problems will be for the new generation to deal with.

Problem is that the bad news is hard to avoid. I haven’t watch the news for 20+ years. Not once.
Pretty much stick to sports, cooking channels and porn.

I think part of it is, and this is really sad, half the people, in this country, hate me and I hate them. Straight up.
Just being honest.
