The country isn't lost. The 1950's are lost. This is the American experiment. It's a push and pull and hopefully we stay between the lines, but even with as much as we've messed with the formula, we're still relatively stable over time. This election should see a correction away from the radical left. Biden will be dumped. We will carry on. There will be future attacks on liberty and sovereignty.

Starting? I realized this 15 years ago and that it was just a matter of when, not if

Plot twist: It was never found even since the very beginning.
One nation under "God"? Which god do you think that some of our founders were referring to?

True, TF, but not out of the norm for Humanities' progression. Given the monumental advance in High Tech Knowledge, and the effects of Social Media as related to issues having a Moral basis, it was inevitable that monumental cultural and social norms changed as well. The ultimate cultural paradigm 'Phoenix' always arises out of the dust of the last 'dysfunctional' culture.
I think you are right re "trust God", as the essence of 'Religion' is to lead and shape the Human Character toward ultimate Love. I.e., God, Unity and the vision and harmony therein. It may well be that "the children of God" now exist in a 'Fermi Paradox' paradigm (Paralle[]\l Universe/Jesus' "many mansions") Reality wherein we simply form our character and therein move to the next life based on such. That is the essence of all Religious ideologies across the board, to my limited knowledge.
My hope is that the "millennial kingdom" of Biblical lore does in fact arise out of the ashes of the Prophetic calamity scenario that you depict, and that those who imagine, commit, labor and suffer toward such an end 'come back' and live therein. I told my Great-granddaughter that I think she would live to ride a space ship out into the stars to beautiful Planets and sew the seeds of life there. And look out for them. All with the blessing of Jesus, who loves and guides all forms of Life. Minus those who reject such 'leadership' of course; 'Free Will' coming into the equation.
They say that those who accomplish extraordinary things never see the obstacles, but only the goal. Your "best thing I can think of" holds weight.

The other half is being taxed to death by a bloated illegal government that openly hates them and wants the non-contributing half to take up arms and drop them. It’s going to be a long difficult road to take this country back.. if we ever do. The best thing I can think of is just trust in God, pay attention and care for your individual communities, and do the best you can.
We can salvage what we have (or had) through violence or a peaceful national divorce. I hope it’s a peaceful national divorce.

Secession is the only option. There is no political solution. There's no voting out of it.

4-5 years from now we will be the best we've ever been. Book it.
Just not sure how much lower we have to go before we get out.

It’s not going to be as long as most thing once it gets started. Once the working man can’t buy gas, feed his family and work the shite will hit the fan. They will not be able to stop it once the bell rings.
Washington is no longer functional and the representatives there work directly against the people of the US.

This. At this point, I care about Jefferson, LA. Not New Orleans, our anywhere else in Louisiana or the Southeast, etc.

Bingo. Take care of yourself & your family. Strive for income independence & self-sustainability. Build a strong local community of like-minded folks who aren't zombified by the leftist crap. Fight hardest for local & state politics because it's where we can still move the needle. There are 2 Americas now, and we can't fix the other one.

Yeah had a realization recently too for my kids. Basically every institution I respected is gone and have no standards.
The ideal remains with some and there are individuals, but school, state/fed gov, military, doctors, patriotism, merit-based outcomes, fair elections, Catholic Church, science, etc. All have to be seriously questioned. Sad

Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.
We are at the weak men creating hard times part of this quote.

Oh I think we’re forgetting about a significant portion of these that don’t want to make babies at all … rather abort them … and continue not to contribute to society with any productivity whatsoever themselves

The future of the world is associations instead of nations I think. People choosing to freely associate and live together with other like minded people and making their own rules instead of a government forcing them to do so.
Society will get there eventually but the journey is terrible which we are all experiencing now.

Sooooo why is it a problem for women to have control over their bodies? Clearly there is a problem with unwanted/unneeded children in this country.

I work and contribute but feel like there's no gains to be made that won't eventually get stolen by the government. People sitting on their arse doing nothing taking in money I work to produce. Why should I bother? Let it all rot.
