Short story... 2016 Colorado and the factory lights are garbage really. What's an affordable bulb option vs OEM yellow looking crap?

Get LEDs. Just as easy to install. I like 5k color signature myself b/c it's the purest white and brightest, but a lot of people opt for that "cool" looking blueish white from 6k.

Sealight on Amazon. Make sure you adjust your angle if you're truck is leveled or bigger tires. People will be flashing their lights at you constantly

7500k -8k is blue, 14k-15k around purple. Most aftermarket LED(white) are 5500k-6500k

He got the goods! My truck and wife’s truck both got his bulbs in ours. They are awesome!

I've heard the Halogen bulb housings have a different reflector system than LEDs, so the bulb swaps aren't really that efficient. Any truth to that?

There's a guy in Brusly that sells and installs some. I went to him for ultra bright reverse lights but he ended up doing all six lights. Makes dark unlit Roads look like daytime, not sure where he gets the bulbs from.

I can only speak from my experience. I've installed 4 sets between 5k, 5500k and 6k. The two 6k has a slight* blue tint. 5500k seemed true white. 5k had a tiny tint bit of normal yellow but I prefer it myself to 5500. 6k was just a twinge less bright and a tiny bit blue.
Caveat, my installs were all HID and not LED***

The color of the light is measured in Kelvins (like others I prefer the 5K range)….output or brightness is in Lumens (more is more).
You need to decide if you’re sticking with stock setup and swapping bulbs or doing a full conversion.
In my wife’s 4Runner I ended up using a hi beam bulb in the halogen reflector assembly. Had to cut a small plastic tab but achieved my results, much brighter and nobody flashes us.

Just a graphic to display the various color temps measured in K.

if you are on facebook then SpoiLED Auto Service or the website, www.spoiledautos.com
I will do my best to answer any questions or even send pictures of vehicles I have outfitted. like mentioned earlier, my reverse lights, are worth every penny. if you back up, have kids, love your wife, pull a trailer, need to see, dark tinted windows, yes you will want some.
HIDs and LEDS are completely different. the measuring in Kelvins is 100% correct. 5k is 5k. 6k is 6k.
for as the housing go, the housing are built to reflect light. you put a halogen bulb in your hand and light it up. Just a blob of light. Put a LED in your hand, big show of light. Put inside a housing, it uses it parameters (casing) to reflect and beam forward,
