What's an affordable bulb option vs OEM yellow looking crap?

Don't be those idiots that put HIDs or LEDs in halogen headlamps without doing a proper retrofit. Philips RacingVision GT200 gets my vote.

Why is a retrofit needed? If the bulbs are manufactured correctly the housing should just reflect light; why does the light source matter?

LASFIT sells LED's that are direct replacement for halogen housings...We installed the 5000k ..good cutoff..better light than the oem.

Try Lasfit.com LED's. I put them on my 2018 4 Runner. Not inexpensive but great quality and performance.

Stupid question. I’ve heard changing the lamps on a F150 is akin to performing brain surgery. I hate the stock lamps. Would those on Amazon work?

Pretty simple to change out. Any would work. I have done a lot of F150s. If you decide, I'll do my best to help you out

Just wanted to thank everyone that has reached out and asked about our lights, purchased them, especiallythe ones that all came and picked up or had me install them. Power of TD at its best. I hope I answered your questions.
I certainly appreciate it very much.

Jalopnik

Daniel Stern Lighting

And as I get older, the less i (my eyes) tolerate poorly aimed, overly bright or just shitty headlights that seem to proliferate.

Brought my truck this morning to geauxkw to get all the front lights (low, high, fog, and blinkers) switched to LEDS. Looks great! thanks for all the info and help.

Replace them with morimoto or a brand that makes led sealed projector lights (plug and play). Otherwise the reflector housing isnt gonna really give you the results you want and you'll always be blinding people regardless of aiming them. Not to mention you'll get some form of daytime running light.

For the fog lights, you can find cheap full led housing (I think the morimoto ones for ford are cheap, so I imagine every brand truck is about the same in price) and there are cheaper brands but putting an led bulb in a reflector fog light housing isnt as big of a deal.

Just my .02
