That’s possible. It’s also possible that his main concern is Never Trump and he sees RD as the best chance to make that happen. It’s possible that it was an off-the-cuff remark about who he thought would win as opposed to who he wants to win.

And yes, it’s also possible that RD has been a GOPe plant since his days in Congress when Trump wasn’t even on the political scene, and even though he’s governed AND handled the hostile media like a complete boss he’s going to switch to being Mitch McConnell as soon as he’s elected president.

Since there are a few different rational explanations it’s asinine to latch on to the last one like it’s gospel truth.

As I have previously posted, I don't know why, as I have no firm evidence one way or another, but for some reason I do not trust DeSantis. For some strange reason I get the feeling that he is just another fast talking Italian slicker or Mafioso with a lot of sleazy political power behind him. I guess I will just have to wait to find out if the feeling is justified but I certainly have this very creepy feeling about him and it bothers me.

I pointed out facts. Which of these are not true?

Okay, I’ll play along -

1- Trump had zero power to shut down states.

And you wonder why I say you argue like a Leftist.

But I’ll answer the actual question - Trump had LOADS of power to keep governors from shutting down their states. Fact.

Trump had zero power to reopen them

Same as above.

The fact is DeSantis started his process in Sept 2020.

We’re talking about Trump in the Oval Office shitting the bed on Covid. I don’t know what DeSantis started in 9/20.

It’s f’n funny to see the tough “real” conservative making arguments for the tough president like you do. You argue like a Leftist.

I’m not 100% sold on him, either. He’s “encouraging” but there are questions. It’s hard to get a full sense when al we have are sound bites and made for tv political moments. I don’t know enough about what he’s done in Florida legislatively/budget-wise to connect some important dots.

We do have 4 years of DT in the WH, and his record is spotty. He did some great things, but then pissed it all down his leg in 2020.

He most definitely has much stronger characteristics of a classic politician. And before somebody sets themself on fire in protest, I’m not saying that in a derogatory way, just stating what I think’s a clear observation. That comes with positive and useful advantages, and I’ll stay put on that only unless and until any personal observations influence me otherwise. But only in passing for now, I must say I was a little disappointed in the statements post-verdict the day or two ago. Again before someone casts a voodoo spell on me, it wasn’t necessarily the sentiment, but as an attorney he should have used better verbiage and mechanics.

We don’t need to keep doing this.

You believe Trump, the most powerful man in the world, the chief executive of one of the three branches of government, the man with veto power, the man who couldn’t fart without it being major news, the guy we all credit for three amazing economic years - that guy had no control over Fauci, the CDC/NIH, or the federal dollars that flooded the country so governors could shut everything down.

I find that retarded. It’s also weak AF. And ironic for a guy who thinks Trump is a badass that could take permanent government on in a second term.

I'm not the one making the assertion of power. You are. Show it.

The reason you aren't is because you can not show the power Trump had to force the lock downs you stated that he did.

Show it or move on. Nothing else matters. Either you can show the power he had or not.

As noted, South Dakota did NOT lock down.

Nothing else matters in your rant on it. What article? What power? Name it.

You simply can not name it.

So as it stands:

1- Trump had zero power to shut down states. Governors did it. Only 1 did not. You have yet to name the power given to Trump to Force lockdowns as YOU CLAIM

2- Trump had zero power to reopen them. But he called on them to do so as far back as early April 2020. You continue to IGNORE FACTUAL HISTORY

3- The fact is DeSantis started his process in Sept 2020. Then you EXCUSE his actions.. in other word HYPOCRITE

Name those powers or move on.

Paul Ryan, the guy who’s destroying Fox News and turning it into an unwatchable establishment garbage heap is back in the news. This unpopular loser, who couldn’t get elected dogcatcher, is now talking about how unelectable Trump will be by 2024. I am sure that Paul will do his best at Fox News to make sure that happens.

When Paul Ryan talks about Trump, you can almost hear his globalist voice quake with fear. The man is a total weasel. These establishments’ goons are so scared of Trump becoming president again because they know he can do it since he’s done it TWICE already.

Here’s what Ryan said:

Former Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Thursday said that former President Trump’s “unelectability will be palpable” by the 2024 presidential election and that the next Republican nominee will likely be someone else.

“I think Trump’s unelectability will be palpable by then. We all know that he will lose. … We all know that he is so much more likely to lose the White House than anybody else running for president on our side of the aisle, so why would we want to go with that?” Ryan said in an interview with Teneo for its “Insights Series.”

Ryan is vice chairman of Teneo, a public relations and CEO advisory firm.

“The only reason he stays where he is is because everybody’s afraid of him. They’re afraid of him going after them, hurting their own ambition. But as soon as you get the herd mentality going, it’s unstoppable,” Ryan said.

He noted Trump’s lack of strength in polls that consider him as the hypothetical 2024 Republican candidate and said he’s sure the former president will be aware of that.

Yeah, Paul, because the “polls” are spot on, you idiot.

This guy is a total clown. But he’s a dangerous clown because he has power, and he will work with the left and other GOP establishment shmucks to take down Trump again.

See, the American people aren’t allowed to elect who they want. That mistake happened once, and they won’t allow it to happen again. Only “approved” politicians need apply…

And that brings me to the most disturbing part of this interview… Paul Ryan’s top pick for president:

Ron DeSantis.

We’ve been saying all along that DeSantis was being backed and pushed by the GOP establishment and even Dems want him. And people attacked us for it. But it’s true.

It’s because they know, Ron their only long shot they’ve got to not end up with President Trump again. The other two on his list won’t work either. We’re getting right back into the “That’s Not Who We Are” candidates.

Paul Ryan is trying to kill MAGA.

Tim Scott is a huge establishment guy. You might as well elect Mitt Romney again.

Youngkin doesn’t have the “America First” chutzpah, and he’s not a down-and-dirty fighter and would get steam-rolled.

DeSantis is a great governor, and he’s a proven fighter, but as we all know, the White House is a totally different ball game. If he’s backed by the establishment, he won’t appeal to America First voters, because we all know the establishment wants NOTHING to do with America First.

It’s obvious that Paul Ryan said this in order to give DeSantis a “bump” over Trump. Trust me, these people are desperate and it’s an “Anybody but Trump” scenario. But Ryan doesn’t realize nobody cares what he says, and many will actually do the opposite just to spite him.

But clearly, this DeSantis stuff is a plan of theirs, and they’re showing their cards. Now, if DeSantis is in on it, is anybody’s guess. I haven’t seen proof of that, but I heard rumors that ‘”Paul Ryan types” are whispering in his ear, and stroking his ego, and he hasn’t told them to F off, or anything.

The establishment is still talking about President Trump because they know he can win. People don’t sit around pouring this much energy into a “loser.”

But I don’t care what you say, an endorsement from the King of The Establishment for DeSantis, isn’t good news for anyone.

DeSantis has a bright future, but he needs Trump’s backing, not Paul Ryan’s. That kind of glowing endorsement will get him in trouble… Big, big trouble.

I've read your BS on this site for about two years. Largely, we agree politically, but you're a pain in the arse with the volume of BS you blizzard the site with. But I never realized how dishonest you are. I've posted that you argue like a Leftist because you are incapable of connecting the most obvious dots, but I've learned here you're also dishonest like most Leftists.

I have never argued that Trump had the power to force states to lock shite down. You've made that up completely, and it's Adam Schiff level bullshite. Congratulations.

I've argued that Trump funded the lockdowns. And given the fact that he moved a small mountain to make sure his signature was on stimulus checks, even a moron like you can't argue that point ... so, you channel your inner Adam Schiff and lie through your fingertips.

The only difference between you and Decatur is the side of the aisle you type your shite from.
