I am planning my next few months of workouts. I have completed FOTH1 and am starting Silverback next week. I am interested in Arm Farm, but it looks quite similar to FOTH1. For those who have done both, what would you say are the main differences? Pros? Cons? I just want to make sure it's worth the purchase or I may repeat workouts a few times. Thanks.

There are a bunch of us, on here, that have purchased Arm Farm and plan on running it in November. We'll have an official Arm Farm thread up, like the Squatober thread, if you'd be interested in joining.

It'll be my first time running it so I can't help with your actual question.

Are y’all going to post the workouts in the thread like the Squatober one? Or should I buy it so I can follow along?

You'll have to buy it from PPSA. We can't post it as it is copyrighted material.

We will probably just brag about how much weight we used and bitch about how the cardio kicks our asses.

I would like some tips on Tate Press when we get there too; I dunno if the issue was my spinlock db limiting the Rom or my form or what but I just didn’t find that to be a great tricep exercise compared to the other 4 or 5 he programs in for backarms.

I did filling out the hoodie early this year or end of last year. Only think I noticed at the end of the month was elbow pain.

Y’all are doing the new Arm Farm correct? If so, I’ll have to grab it. I only have the older one.

Without measuring, no, no size difference. Sure I'd get a pump, but as far as adding size, nothing noticeable. Might have gotten a little stronger in some accessory movements, so again, nothing noticeable. I can see it being a good program after October as it'll take some focus away from the bog lifts, but my opinion is to not go into it thinking you're gaining 2 inches on your arms.

My diet isn't perfect, but it's far from shite. I train hard, and eat the best I can. "Clean" all day except for supper. I'm eating with my family. We don't cook trash and eat fast food, but I probably eat that second plate when I don't need to lol.

where you eating in a surplus though and weighing daily, tracking and weighing food?

and without an inbody test how could you know if you gained muscle....not to mention its only a month long, not gonna see much in a month, 100% not gonna gain 2" on your arms, hell even 1" in a month. just doesnt work that away.

im not trying to say ppsa programs are perfect, that filling out the hoodie is perfect, just saying without controling variables and having measurements done, kind of hard to judge.

I've been at it for a few years now and I've never noticed any growth. If it wasn't for a scale and inbody tests I'd think I haven't changed. Ive gained 20 lbs in the last 2 years but it's hard to tell looking in a mirror

Guy, I was just running a program. I wasn't looking to get bigger or anything like that. Really wasn't expecting anything out of it. I had done Squatober perfectly and added 20lbs to my squat, that has since gone to shite, but that's a different story for a different day. Rather than hopping back onto my other strength block, or other program I've been doing for a couple years, I just wanted something different.

Ran through the program, all correctly. I probably wasn't in a surplus as I wasn't trying to put on mass. I had been in a surplus for sure the 2 months steady prior. I was probably at a maintenance.

My only comment about the program is that I felt I didn't get anything out of it for that month. There's no end goal in a program like that. I finished it with really sore elbow joints. It was cool to get a pump for a month, but it's not the training I typically like to do.

yes and no, end goal is to run it a few times in a row to add upper body mass. as far as strength you are correct. like all ppsa programs, but the specialization programs i.e. squatober, deadcemeber, bench programs, the goal is slow and steady gains aka slow build.

ftr wasnt criticizing the take, more the asserstion you got nothing out of it. kind of hard to know without emperical evidence and that goes both ways.

I appreciate the replies. For the record, I have completed FOTH1 and did have good strength and size gains. My main question was about the differences in the 2 programs. I notice many of the same lifts from what I can tell. I think I will run FOTH1 again after Silverback, I stead of Arm Farm 2.

I may buy it in the future, but for now my plan is:
Silverback
FOTH1
FOTH2

I gotcha. And oof, there's no way I could run that back to back. That's just me talking and giving my experience. Some may have better luck with it.

I run both twice. Good gains on both. FOTH is more traditional PPSA focused mostly on Upper Body. It's more of a squatober type workout (Just not legs daily). Main Lift, Main Lift 2 , superset of secondary work.

Arm farm is many of the same exercises but everything being Supersets. So it's main lift with a SS, then Main lift 2 with a SS, then its some sort of evil combination of three exercises SS three or four times around. Then its cardio SS to beat up something you've already exhausted even more.

My personal preference was Arm farm because I do all my stuff early mornings and I want to hit it and go and I like the susperset style of workout better.

I ran Arm Farm remastered last month and am doing FOTH1 this month. This is a good synopsis based on what I’ve experienced so far. Planning to rerun Arm Farm next month with the board and then finish the year with FOTH2
