And he would not let it go. Did not have to look around. Had a very limited look. Did not make 4th down and they scored over the top next play. That is what drives me nuts about QB play.

Yea that wasn't very good play calling. Get the 1st down is most important. If you already know your going for it on 4th down run the ball 2 times to get 1 yard. Then open up.

If Daniels let’s it fly they may get the call.

Should have secured the first down. Especially with the 4th down up the middle that everyone knew was coming.

Why call play action on third and 1 expecting the qb to throw the ball to a player who is covered? That’s not a throw the ball up for grabs game situation. Bad play calling and situational football.

Kelly was yelling at him about the WR having 1 on 1 coverage after that play too.

This offense is just bad.

Or you throw an int on third and 1 cause the wr is covered and everyone bitches about how much you suck for throwing that ball in that situation.

And then next play Williams into the teeth of the defense. Should have been Emery in that situation.

I don’t like forcing Daniels into a tough completion like that. Call a better play that gives a run/pass option and movement to the flat. You needed a couple of yards. Bad sequence.

This is no way defending Daniels. The scheme needs to be better suited to his game.

I’m not sure the deep guy was the call. After the play, Kelly threw his arms up in dismay and gestured to JD what looked like “We only needed 1 yard!”

That 4th down call was a disgrace. If you’re going to go for it in that spot you better have a good play called.

Definitely. You have to call a better play for that situation.

Daniels, per usual locked in, when it wasn’t there he panicked and heaved it 30 yds out of bounds. That's a Qb that can't read coverage, and a QB coach that's done a poor job.

That’s one of those plays I’m going to remember forever.

Not only was it poorly conceived, it made Tennessee look like they had 16 guys on defense.

Tennessee, on 4th and 2, called a great shovel pass for a 1st. Something like that is better suited for our players.
