Because it isn't.
It's just going to be allowed to fly for a while because, as a private entity, PP will drag out the litigation and court proceedings for a long time. Maybe all the way up to SCOTUS.
Guess we'll find out.

We only use PayPal occasionally but I had my wife cancel it.
I don’t want to do business with any company that could make arbitrary decisions to loot my credit card or debit card. Seems like legalized theft.
I have no doubt that this policy will not be imposed in an unbiased way , which is total BS considering what the leftist are allowed to get away with.

ToS. Either agree to give them this power or not be allowed to use the service.
Easy decision for me.

It was tough, I had to unlink about 40 different accounts inluding 3 with autowithdrawals I had to redo with those vendors.

So, declaring "New Policy" lets your "fine" users $2,500?
Sounds legit.

How does this work? Do they have a posting board where they will monitor and fine from there? Or are they saying they will monitor your life away from Payoal and fine you based on non paypal site comments?
If the 2nd that will get shot down as it has nothing to do with their site. Then what stops any bank doing the same?

They’re dead to me. Cancelled.

Earlier this year, I noticed an debit on my bank account that I had not authorized, after checking around I found that this was a common Paypal protocol and no big deal. I knew better. I de-linked my accounts from Paypal the next day.
Paypal should know better; they'll take a hit on this as soon as the word gets around. Of course, they are between a rock and a hard place, Joe would whack em' if they don't.

They’ve already backtracked. It would have been the death of their company.

How does PayPal know what you post? I don’t use PayPal but are they following our social media posts or something?

If you have PayPal linked to any account they can pull $2500 out of, you might be dumb enough to need this lesson.
They cannot do that, do not spread lies.
Paypal is evil, but they can only take money from within your paypal account.

Thanks for posting. I have Paypal but never used it. I just closed my account and deleted the app from my phone. They have their policy and I have mine.

There are a few people here reporting to them.
