Here we are again people, getting another property tax, taxed by the IMPERVIOUS square footage of the roof and any other buildings on your property plus all your concrete, driveways, patios, etc. Anything that rain water can’t penetrate / soak into the ground. PLEASE people go to the meetings this month and protest. This is insane.

Louisiana is a shite hole.

We’re way past what the second amendment was written for!

People who do not pay property tax should not be allowed to vote.
Problem solved.

I've seen this in other cities and states.
It is ridiculous.

That’s how it was originally written.

Make sure they don't use the square footage of the roofing material on sloped roofs.

Where do I sign the recall petition?

Yeah, it’s better and cheaper than a federal Consent decree

Sorry...In reality it's not funny.
The funny part is...you know who won't be paying these taxes right?
Yeah...you know.
Baton Rouge is a shithole and will only get worse.

My hometown just implemented a tax like this. And people were already paying huge property taxes to begin with.

Louisiana pays very little in property tax.

Not being able to vote on this is tantamount to totalitarianism. This mayorette acts like a dictator. These politicians are going to tax the city into oblivion. How much will this tax cost the Exxon/Mobil refinery? All businesses will have to raise their prices thus slowing commerce down and in the end everyone will be poorer.

Another whiner, flood control has to be addressed.
Either you do something on your own behalf or let the federal agencies take control and impose higher costs.
There will no exemptions, no business, no school, no government building, no shopping center.
Estimates are the individual homeowner will be charged between $125 to $250 per year.
Hysterical whining won't stop flooding.

Unless they're homeless and living under a bridge, everyone pays property taxes.

I’m glad you brought that up 2dog.
Where has all the tax revenue that Citizens of the city and the parish have been paying to maintain the drainage system gone ?
I’ll be glad to read your answer.

This moron who wears her mask over her nose can’t even clean out the ditches in advance of hurricane season. She is mentally retarded. She has never had an original thought, much less an actual thought in her life.
She can frick right off.
