Wife and I have tickets for Thursday's show in Austin. I'm hoping the politics won't be too ridiculous since Trump's out of office, but if his interview with Rolling Stone this week about his politics is any indication, I have very misguided wishful thinking.

great show when I went to see him years ago. But don't go if you love America cause he will push his socialized agenda through out his entire show.

This is why even though I’ve been aPink Floyd fan since the early 80s, I would not go see Roger Waters even if you gave me free tickets. I go to concerts to Watch the musicians perform, not lecture me on their political manifesto.
I did get to see Floyd when they came too B’ham and played Legion Field in 1994. One of the best concerts I’ve even attended.

Me too. That being said, I still thoroughly enjoyed the show. The quality of production that he puts on is worth seeing, even with having to endure the political preaching.

I heard Roger Waters makes neat music. Should I go?

Gilmore > Waters
Pink Floyd was just another band struggling to create a sound until Gilmour arrived.

Well you have a long night ahead of yourself.

Roger Waters is the king of douche bags but his concerts are second to none.

It will be. I wanted to go to his show here in Orlando in august. I didn’t bc of this reason. When I looked at the tour preview/trailer it was all political.
Went to The Wall concert in college about 10 yrs ago. Was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Sucks he has to be all political now.

I've seen this one group in Dallas at the House of Blues, Brick in The Wall. Nine members. They were good but not nearly as good as international touring group Brit Floyd. Saw them at the Verizon Arena here in DFW earlier this year. They were awesome but I like the club experience with Brick in The Wall better because I like a waitress bringing me drinks.

I went in ATL and it was over the top.

I went to one of the The Wall 2010 shows and he was lip syncing his arse off. It was a still a fun time though.

It's not "obsessed with politics" to be annoyed with Roger, who is starting every show in this tour by saying "If you’re one of those 'I love Pink Floyd, but I can't stand Roger’s politics' people you might do well to frick off to the bar right now."

I would probably get up and just go to the bar
I don’t see the big deal. I’m not there for politics, I am there for music. If he was a vocal Trump supporter I would think it was silly too.

I saw him twice when he toured The Wall a few years back. Fantastic shows. Politics is always going to be there with Roger, just ignore it and enjoy the performance.
