Stats:

Passing: 241 Ypg, 2 TD, 64% completion percentage

Rushing: 179 Ypg, 5.3 Ypc, 2 Tds

I really wanted to blame Denbrock for the lack of a passing attack but I don’t think he just lost the ability to call plays in the span of a year. I think Jayden is the problem here and if he can’t figure out soon Kelly gonna have to pull him or go down without a fight letting Jayden stall drives.

Agreed! Cincy had a solid QB. So, that’s essentially the huge difference. Without a consistent QB how good or how bad an OC is becomes way more skewed.

Unfortunately, JD might be our best option right now and in the foreseeable future. I say this in terms of overall ability to try and manage without costly turnovers. BK certainly knows we have a razor thin margin for turnovers when it comes to playing solid teams.

Since this is year 1, it makes sense to be even more conservative than what he is accustomed to. Frankly, I just don’t think we will see the “true” offensive play calling until year 2.

Are you telling me it's not Denbrock, it's Daniels...do you not see all the people on the Rant saying Denbrock sucks. Man, you're an outside-the-box guy.

Funny how you recruit a coordinator that's done pretty well and all of a sudden he's terrible. Not the fact that your new QB can't make a 5-10 yard out/crossing route or slant pass to save his life.

Sure would be nice to give Nuss a shot instead of the typical, "Hey go in there real quick and put together a TD drive from deep in our own territory cause our running QB doesn't know how to slide." And I'm saying a shot with a full week of practice with the 1's and significant attention to him knowing he will start, instead of coming off the bench.

What happened when DumbRock actually played a real team last year in the playoffs?
AL crushed him -
218 total yards of offense.

They both are. If JD can't do certain things, Denbrock has to change the offense and tailor it to what he can do.

Correct, being limited at Qb is a lot of the problem.

Needs to adjust and have more slants/crosses with WRs instead of sending them on deep out routes. Go more up tempo as well.

1st year for All LSU QBs in this system. Give it some time I expect better QB play next year from whoever is the starter. LSU is basically rebuilding had to take all the bad apples out of program and we had what 39 scholarship players. We are doing better than I expect, it isn't pretty but I will take a ugly win. We will be better at QB next year and other positions also.

How many snaps did they take in 2 TE sets in Cincy because that’s what Denbrock has been trying to do here the first 4 games.

Last year one of their TEs had the 2nd most receiving TDs on the team.

If you need verification get a lip reader to translate what Kelly is yelling at Daniels on the sidelines. He got into Nuss's shite pretty good too last night.

Dont get me wrong, he is not just bitching, he is coaching with a hard edge in the game. He was mad last night about JD passing up downfield shots, rushing short passes, and general poor accuracy. I was not sure what he got on Nuss about. Bad read maybe?

Kelly was visibly upset at both QB’s. Daniels for not throwing the ball and Nuss for a bad sideline pass. I’m sure there are some serious conversations with Denbrok about QB play and a lackluster offense. He didn’t pull Daniels because of a limp. That just gave him a legitimate reason but I’m not sure Nuss won him over. I think a change has to be made for the good of the team but I don’t think Kelly wants to have a controversial situation around the change. Daniels will limp again so we will see if Nuss can make the most of it.

It is the coordinator’s job to put him in the best position. He needs to run option and quick three step drop passing concepts with some design runs and wide receiver screens.,He also needs to run tempo but still use the running backs to pound the rock.,He is not a pocket passer and never will be.

If you say so, we have 5 NFL prospect WR's on the team and the true freshman TE had more targets than all of them combined. We also have 1 run play. The only offensive play that works consistently is the JD scramble play. Seems like a scheme issue to me.
