Auburn laid out the blueprint to defend Jayden Daniels

Don’t come after him
Keep him in the pocket
Plug his running lanes
Force him to throw
He’ll either try to run into a wall or eventually the pocket will collapse on him and he’ll be sacked.
If he is going to be LSUs starting qb, let’s just run the option. Seriously, any team with a decent defense now knows how to shut him down. Let’s design runs for him, but stop trying to run any normal passing game. He is NOT capable. Square peg in a round hole. It’s frustrating for him, his teammates, and the fans.

Same plan Chavis used for Manziel. Effective strategy

The Bama game is going to be hilarious

That’s exactly what I was thinking when I typed this. Saban is literally giddy to face the current set up. Now run some elaborate option at him, and he will shite out his hair dye.

It’s called a mush rush. It’s the same think LSU did to Johnny Manziel years ago.

The only way to beat a Saban defense is with a mobile QB. Nuss sitting in a collapsing pocket will not get the job done. JD is no Johnny Football but Manziel beat Bama once and came close the next year. Heck even JJ beat Bama with his legs.

So what will the gameplan be if Nuss plays? Do a breakdown of that

Remember 2019? I do.
people said that then as well. Then teams adjust and players learn.
Just enjoy the week-to-week adjustments and hope our guys do it better than the other guys.

Bet you said that last year.
It’s at home this year and they have a qb with a bum throwing shoulder.
But by all means be a pussy and concede right now.

Mush rush and force him to throw.

And yet they lost. Blueprint to a loss. At home, at night, against a team that did nothing on either side of the ball for almost half of the game. If other teams follow this blueprint, they will probably lose too.

It's in the same vein as how we defended against Manziel.
We will have to be able to dink & dunk with accurate enough passes where WR can make a play or can get some YAC.
Will also have to be able to throw downfield, with success. Otherwise the dink and dunk (which AU also clamped down on) will not be consistent.
At the end of the day if can't read the field and find open people long and intermediate, including in the middle, just like Les' offenses your starting point is the point of diminishing returns.
You know... like AU did to us when we sold out to keep their QB from breaking big chunks, they just took the top off- successfully.

Bama is so beatable this year nobodies scared of them anymore

Ok? Teams and players have weaknesses that opponents will try to exploit. Thank you for reminding us how the game works. Guess what? Teams and players also have strengths that can be utilized.

Auburn had the athletes to do some of that. Unless I watched the wrong game, Daniels ran very effectively at times. Auburn is not a team that lacks talent.

Because their offense sucks and they couldn't stop turning the ball over
Posted on 10/2/22 at 1:52 pm to Springlake Tiger
Should've been obvious to any cfb coach

What fricking idiot. No shite Sherlock.
Just when i think this board can’t get any more dumb, you make this post.
That’s been the defense for him in every game. When the OL does their job hard to defend Daniels running unless they use the spy.
Slants across the middle pulls the spy allowing him options

Seemed like we barely did that at all and didn't seem to really use the middle of the field for the entire game. And the WRs definitely didn't help. Ironically our OL is actually the best part of our passing game right now.
