I know our squads weren’t putting up A+ numbers, but it seemed like the refs were out to lunch on several of those calls.

Or was I just drunk with my P&G glasses on?

Just another Saturday night with SEC refs at Auburn. When has that scenario ever resulted in a well called game?

I think the officiating was terrible for both teams.

The SEC makes insane money and will do nothing about the quality of the officiating ! Sad.

Sucked. They were way too involved in the game.

They threw too many flags both ways. That 4th down holding on lsu was awful. As was the PI on auburn in the endzone

They were pretty flag happy.

Awful, lots of ticky tack calls in crucial situations. A couple went our way but most went Auburns way. In general, the game was called waaaaay too tight. Too may flags. But…that’s what happens at Auburn. Frankly I don’t know why.

They were too flag happy. A couple of the PI penalties they should have kept the flag in their pocket, for both sides.

Shocked they didn’t overturn our first touchdown. It seemed they were getting all the calls early.

Atrocious and throwing a targeting call to a player that is getting carted off the field is sickening…that was not targeting and they should be suspended…

I agree with this. Whether he targeted or not, should’ve been a no-call after that serious injury.

Only the PI call on Auburn was bad in my opinion. Some of them like kick catch interference and chop block on the kickout are unusual penalties, but were correctly called under the letter of the rule.

I guess you could say the same about the 15 yarder on Banks but sheesh. I'd have picked that one up.

They largely let the players play in the secondary both ways, until later in the second half and then got loose with them. We got a call or two in our favor, one clearly correct and one that I wasn't sure about. But Auburn had the penalty advantage for sure.

It wasn't a Saints game. I'll say that much. And even with, defense pitched a second half shutout.

Very very typical. As expected. They just love the attention.

From what I have seen, SEC refs are not any worse than most and better than many, if not most, other conference refs.

They all have their foibles and what they call and overlook.

I don’t know if they were worse, but they were bad…..I mean real bad. They were blowing calls that 100% could be contradicted by replay. There was no judgement or nuance to the bad calls, they were just wrong.
