Without question it’s Perrilloux. Russell couldn’t make it in the NFL, Perrilloux couldn’t make it in college. Big difference.

RP ended up getting a super bowl ring though

JR2 was a beast at LSU. I don’t give a single frick about the Bowl Cut Davis Jr Raiders or the NFL for that matter.

RP was a major contributor on a national championship team and if I'm not mistaken was MVP of the SEC Championship game. He had such great poise on the field and so little off it. But neither was a bust at LSU.

They were 2 different things. RP was a what if? JR was a stud in college and I still believe he could have had an NFL career had he gone to a better organization than the raiders. He would have been better off getting drafted top 10 and going to Pittsburg or something like that.

Better question for this is Ryan Perriloux or Cecil Collins?

You have to be in the field consistently and perrileaux wasn’t in college but he’s learned from his mistakes as did Jamarcus just unfortunate for both atleast Jamarcus made it through college playing at a high level! Perrileaux was a back up in 07 and got kicked off team going into the 2008 season

at the college level? Perrilloux easily. Jamarcus wasn't a bust at all in college

Perrilloux could have been like Mike Vick.

RP won a BCS NC and a SB ring. Rarified air. Jamarcus won neither.

JaMarcus was a RS Fr on the '03 NC team. He has a ring just like Flynn from then.

Just a fly-by opinion but I think RP had more raw talent than JR. And FTR, JaMarcus was no bust at LSU. He was great.

My final two thoughts:
1) I would have loved to have seen Perrilloux at QB in '08 with all that talent and Crowton as OC. Don't know if we would have beaten UF and maybe OM but we are no worse than 10-2.

2) Les would never recover from the ramifications of losing Perrilloux. And ironically, it was Les who flipped Ryan from Texas and became his first big-time recruit.

I personally believe Perrilloux would have been at the heisman ceremony that season if he didn't get kicked off the team.

Negative.

Bertram and Yelberton were better. Different eras but both were better QBs.

Periloux because he was dumb. Jamarcus was a solid QB but he thought his arm strength could beat good coverage and he was wrong most the time.

Tommy Hodson was 1st Team All-SEC QB four times. I'm not sure if he was the first to pull that off but I seriously doubt it will ever happen again.
