The oil company, and its chairman, had been critical of the Ukraine war, expressing disapproval in a statement on March 3.

I think Putin illustrates the notion that it's better to be powerful than wealthy.
They're not always the same. Wealth doesn't always equal power. Loyalty and a sense of nationalism can carry as much weight as the dollar.
