Not quite the transfer pitcher we wanted from Oklahoma State.

Seems like we are gambling because we need some type of depth here

Seems this will only make Chafin, Strood and Casanova maybe consider transferring during next portal oppo

I do hope Beth manages her pitchers better. Sometimes a game out of hand and she leaves the starter in instead of letting a another pitcher get some experience. Also, when playing a lesser opponent use your weaker one; you can always bring in a stronger one if off to a bad start. That goes for position players too. It's a bit more work on coaches but it may help in the future.

Anyone know what was Tatum's injury

It remains to be seen if she is better than any of them. If she isn't it likely doesn't matter IMO.

But it looks like our pitching this year will come down to mostly Berzon and Lynch. Hopefully Chaffin can develop more this offseason and give more quality innings. Casanova is someone who will never start but could give an inning here or there from the pen.

But next year literally is the year for Beth. After that we lose Pleasants, Briggs, Coffey, Newland, Carson, Lynch, Gutierrez. It will be a bit of a rebuild losing that much production in a single offseason...

Wonder how many coaches in the country have been to 4 WS? Who you would replace Beth with? Don't say Patty because there is less than 0% that would happen..

The tea leaves over here say that LSU got the only pitcher that we're going to get from Oklahoma State.

Elite means the best. Elite coaches don't miss OKC 5 straight seasons. I'm not suggesting her firing, but don't tell us she is elite.

These are the elite programs:

Oklahoma
Washington
Florida State
Alabama
Florida
Tennessee
UCLA

The list is short and it should be. I wouldn't put Oklahoma State there yet. This is off the top of my head, so I could be forgetting someone. Keep in mind, if we did this just 2 years ago, you could include Michigan, Georgia and Arizona, all who had long time elite coaches retire.

UCLA coach missed ws for 4 straight years in her 17 yrs guess she can't be elite..Florida is a downward slide..gradually but sliding. Bama was gifted a ws last year but sliding..lets see where they are post Fouts..not really talked about in the travel scene...Weekly was on the warm seat until this yr...Oklahoma is elite..No way would I rather have Walton, Tarr, Murphy or KI over Beth..

I didn't say I would take all those coaches over Beth, but the programs are elite. UCLA won a national championship in 2019. Florida and Bama are sliding, but LSU is not? Ummm, ok.
