Uber did more to help drunk driving than any government program.

Defund the Government.

How can what you see every day refute a decades worth of traffic accident and fatality data?

No way this isn't a 4th amendment violation as an unlawful search and seizure.

What happens when there is a UBER driver with a car full of drunk as skunks? Will the car shut off?

I support it. It helps out the people who have a drink or two at dinner but don't want to be over the limit.

A lot of Americans will willingly give up their freedoms today for a little safety. Pretty sad.

Because there isn’t a decade of data that you have shown that would change my mind.

I was injured really bad by someone on a cell phone.

I have a girl that I work with that lost a child from a guy on his phone.

The point is if you go the route of breathalyzers in every vehicle, where does it stop ?

It's publicly available data form the NHTSA and several other organizations.

So feelings, got it. What happened to you and her sucks, but that doesn't extrapolate to national data. BTW, I've had 5 employees killed in the past year by drunk drivers. We have AI enabled dash cams in our entire fleet to track distraction and dive into this regularly because its a BFD for us.

My point was to provide actual data with zero support or commentary on the legislation so people can have an informed discussion, which is impossible on here since everyone leads with feels.

It wouldn't take long to hack that system and defeat it.

The manufacturers are making things essentially unbreakable, so good luck with that.

If you’re going to obligate people to wear a seatbelt, I fail to see how this oversteps any civil liberties.
There is no federal law requiring you to wear a seatbelt.
