evacuations are so hard to do without knowing precise location of landfall
Tampa areas were evacuated but further south you probably have a lot of people that stayed put because of Tampa forecast

We talk about leaving all the time for all the storms here, but it's like where do you go without knowing long term forecast
It's a hard decision to make but I'm not on coast and if I was and it was that close I would definitely go further inland

This reminds me a lot of Wilma back in 2005, a more intense version

Actually I was talking about Duke Energy. I’m not going to go back and change it because that was a pretty awesome response!

That would be priceless. Hop out of the car on the live feed and yell ”Come on out, Cantore, you pussy!”

That dude must be drunk as hell. No other explanation, unless his home floated away I guess.

Ryan Hall calling out the track and how landfall was quite far south of earlier projections

This seems to me about as good as it gets it terms of accurate track forecasting.

Almost exactly where they said it would go 6 days ago. People have known a major hurricane was coming roughly between Tampa and fort myers for 3-4 days. Not sure what else people could need as forewarning.
