No, being greedy broke Raymond. Every single year he leveraged other schools to get more money from LSU. He would get the extension and raise every year, but had to recruit against himself in the process. Every top DB recruit since 2017 would mention Raymond potentially leaving as a reason they were skeptical of LSU.
