You need a hole thru the nail to drain the blood from the subungual hematoma you have there. It involves the nail bed so the nail may likely come off eventually. That swelling to the other side though, just watch it. If it gets worse or starts bruising you might need an X-ray

Not sure you should drill it before getting an x-ray. If it is fractured, then you would make it an open fracture which puts you at risk for a nasty infection. Keep it closed if at all possible. It will get better. Good luck

That nail is toast. As others have mentioned. A needle to relieve the pressure. BUT!!!
I think it’s broken too. If you pop it with a needle you’ve created an open fracture. The worlds tiniest open fracture, but still. It will need antibiotics. Osteomyelitis sucks.
