Move to a major city and experience “game day traffic” damn near on the daily.
This is an apple to oranges comparison. Traffic in LA caused by commuters going to and from work isn't the same as what went on last Saturday at LSU. Anybody that has had season tickets for the last few years and actually goes to all the games knows that the problem Saturday was caused by those in charge of directing the traffic. There's an article in the Advocate today where an LSU official admits they messed up and didn't follow their own guidelines on game day traffic. If they follow their usual protocols traffic wouldn't have been near as bad as it was. That is what people are complaining about.

Finally, a practical solution.

Look at who the mayor and police chief are and then you'll understand why most things are a sh... show.

I don't get how this is an excuse. There were fewer people on campus and in the stadium than for a major SEC game. Not to mention plenty of people left at half time. The mess in the levee lots and Alex Box had nothing to do with playing Southern.
The levee lots were just as much of a shite show after the Garth Brooks concert in April. Gay, I know. But there was a big discussion here after the concert about how terrible the traffic flow out of the levee lots was. This isn't a problem just because LSU played Southern. It's two big events in a row they've failed.

I’m fine sitting in traffic on a roadway for an hour. There is no reason I should sit in a parking lot for 2 hours without moving.
This is why you’re a leftist. Your logic is bizarre! If the traffic on the road is not moving then the cars in the lot will have no way to go.

there were none in front of the stadium. it was East BR Parish Sheriff, who weren't supposed to be taking care of traffic. they came because BRPD weren't present.
they told us as much while we waited in a parking lot for 90 minutes.

The traffic on the road was moving....slowly, but they were moving.

Plan A: Do nothing.
Why?: Never again will that many people be trying to go back to North Baton Rouge after a football game. Normally its a handful of Zachary and St Francisville people and that it....

The biggest problem I had Saturday was before the game. Nicholson coming in from the bridge was a parking lot for almost 1.5 hours. And we had no other alternative because the Nat parking lot, 106?, Only has one freaking entrance and you have to manage a U-turn at the track stadium to get to it. Asinine.

Be aware that the Levee Lots are now lots that require a pass. The only free parking west of Tigers Stadium is now south of Gourrier except for the Hayfield lots which I highly suspect will be a paid for lot next year.
