All were on the 2 planes that crashed into the WTC and the Pentagon. A few were going to Disneyland, a few were classmates who had won a trip to California from National Geographic. A couple of the kids had missed an earlier connection and wound up on the doomed flight instead. All should be enjoying adulthood right now.

I want to say don’t post shite like this, but this is exactly what needs to be remembered especially on days like today. Horrible day for everyone, but especially for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

RIP, and I’ll hug mine a little tighter tonight for sure.

The kids have never been discussed enough. I know its a small number, but those kids were on the planes so the hijackers saw them and knew they were there and still did what they did.

I believe the older kids were on the flight from Boston that crashed into the tower. I’ve thought about them many times on this day and the immense fear and confusion they had to endure. Truly heartbreaking.

Amen.

Not a big fan of CBS 60 minutes, but they got a good one of NYFD going on right now.

Don’t disagree, but what is really the point? Remembering these people doesn’t seem to be putting us on any different trajectory. And we are begging the Saudis for oil.

From an unemotional perspective it seems pointless.

And continuing to buy Saudi oil.

And getting groped by TSA.

What’s the point of remembering loved ones that have passed…is that what you’re asking? Or the point of remembering that these kids died on 9/11 because what does it accomplish?

I guess politically it doesn’t really accomplish much. But that’s not really what the post is about. It’s to recognize and acknowledge what happened and to not forget something that was significant. So if you want to call it a “those who forget history are doomed to repeat it” kind of thing, that’s fine I guess. Or if you want to just call it trying to honor and remember those who are often forgotten, that’s fine too.

But you made it political, so good for you I guess.

No parent should ever have to bury their offspring. I don’t care what species.

It is sad that these maggots took these children’s hopes and opportunities away from them. Still as sad twenty plus years later.
