This is less than a mile from my house. Police have been absolutely every where on our road tonight. Suspect is still in his house right now barricaded in. Happened around 7pm and 4 hours later still haven’t killed him. Right next to an elementary school as well. Not a place you would ever think something like this to happen. Very nice neighborhood and area.

So many cops have been killed serving warrants, restraining orders, and evictions in the last six months. Historically, domestic violence and burglary calls, along with traffic stops have been the most deadly, but the civil paperwork has been incredibly dangerous lately. My only guess is that after 2.5 years of COVID reprieves, people are going insane when forced to answer for their shite.

In the 30+ years my folks have lived in Cobb County, I can't recall anything this bad happening. The only two things I can think of were 15-20 years ago or more, an escaped prisoner on the loose and another barricade situation. This makes me sad for my hometown. RIP to those Sheriff's Deputies. This sucks.

Did you ever meet the Big Boss Man?

I seriously can't imagine why any decent human being is still a cop
You deal with the worst society has to offer and stuff like this happens

Who should I be pulling for? Five years ago I wouldn't be asking this question.

Can I have baw's tricked out 4runner?
Is this just a subtle "My neighbor can afford to buy ammo" brag?
ETA: What do you downvote queers have against 4runners, and ammo? They seem pretty 'Murican to me.

In situations like this - unless there are hostages - the winning strategy is to get the fire department on scene to reduce collateral damage and then burn the house down.
Suspect's choice at that point and no four hour long police jerk off session either.

Trip to Atlanta with son a few years back stayed in Cobb county, popped up on community facts that is was at the time the 9th wealthiest county in the US. Ridding through the place did nothing to dispute the ranking very nice.

Do police normally serve warrants in other areas. I got a warrant for a traffic violation that I thought would go away if I ignored it. My constable served it to me (and I know constables differ from parish to parish).
I don't know if this would be the case, but it seems like having a police serve it would seem more like a threat that would trigger a more negative response. IMO police shouldn't have to serve warrants.

its the guns doing this not the fricktard holding it.
