We have people acting like all he did was run and that he was inaccurate.

Go back and watch how many times he threw the ball behind the Rb on the swing routes. He might get better, but he is in his 4th year starting at QB. He does not read the defenses before or after the snap.

Ha! I don’t care what color you are! 47 yards in the first half isn’t enough to win games

They only had 4 drives in the 1st half and one of those drives started on the 8 with a minute to go. We got 2 of the drives into the red zone with a ball hitting boutte in the hands and face in the end zone.

Yep, this times a 1000. Daniels looked great in the up tempo offense, but if it took him reading through his progressions he wouldn't make it to the 2nd receiver before he was tucking and running.

LSU drove into the red zone on 5 of 7 possessions. The two red zone trips not resulting in TDs were undone by a bad snap and Boutte not looking for the ball. The offense was NOT the problem in this game.

That was Jordan Jefferson’s style.

He had no other option because he had no protection.

The other option is to sit back and take 37 sacks.

Not every play but on a bunch of them the O line didn't give him 2 seconds to sit in a pocket. When you have to dodge defensive players its hard to keep the eyes down the field.

Which is a huge problem.

Calling running plays is the only way to change that percentage.

Lsu has amazing athletes on the roster that are much better than Daniels running with the football.
hmm those guys must be injured.

If the OL can block better then every aspect of the offense can improve. The defense looked lost and just running around without a purpose though. Way too similar to last season for me to feel good about getting it together on defense.

Or passes to the RBs. Safety valves. Throwing deep also will open things up a bit.

Our offense is limited to intermediate passing and Jayden running. I don't think FSU had to do much thinking on the defensive side.

Passes to the RB and deep balls still count for QB production lol. The percentage would not change.

We ran the ball with our backs 13 times.

Welcome to LSU, where the quarterback is just never good enough! How dare you give him credit for being OUR best player on Sunday night? By listening to the losers on this board you would think he muffed two punts, couldn't pass protect, fricked up some snaps, quit on his team, and didn't block on special teams.

I know many only remember him running a lot. He did run a lot in the 1st half, that is the last thing people remembered and started drinking hard because of frustration and depression when seeing how the 1st half went.

Seriously though, he ran like crazy in the first half. In the 2nd half when the went with some tempo he was passing well and staying in the pocket. Im glad you posted the 73.5% completion rate. I wouldn't have guessed that.

that'll get him killed when the SEC schedule starts, if not before

I guess that's one way to look at it

Well did it look like he had any intention on passing the ball on the first play and many others?
Now I have no idea what the coaches told him to do. May have been by design. But in todays game 209 yards passing is losing football.

Pretty hard to achieve passing yards when receivers are letting the ball hit them in the numbers.

Imagine if Daniels could pass, accurately, (all the time).
imagine if we had 3 WRs, 1 TE and 2 RBs that were actually part of the game plan, (all the time). How long do you think it’s going to take SEC defenses to figure out, stop Daniels and you stop LSU? Like, maybe last Sunday night.

In the first half, that’s pretty much what he did. In the 2nd half it looked like he was going through his progressions though
