Daniels didn’t play bad and seems like a good young man and leader

But I really want to see what Nuss can do with this receiving corps. A gunslinger QB with these receivers would make for such a dynamic offense. You will have to live with a few more interceptions, but the ceiling of the offense would be sooo much higher.

Cam could throw it. "Running qb" is just a nicer way of saying can't really throw it.

Agree. The “Natty” is a moot point this year. Was never going to happen. Daniels is the safe play at QB, but the ceiling for this season is probably 8-5. with him. I think Nuss raises that ceiling. But could also lower the floor

Yeah wtf.

Also Walker Howard is a running QB, right?

Yea but there's implied benefit for the entire team of a QB who gets the ball to playmakers vs a QB who calls his own number most of the time

Walker Howard is a pocket passer with actual speed to run. A true dual threat QB

JD had to learn that he can't try to do everything himself.

Part of that is on him. Part of that is on the coaches.

He needs to spread the ball around. SEC defenses will eat him alive if he plays like he did last night before the final two drives.

Daniels showed me something in the second half he didn't give up and fought to the end. Daniels starts but we need to see Nuss get some reps next week and see who gives us the best chance to win in the SEC.

I have a hunch we'll see our other QB this week soon enough. However, Daniels played a GREAT game last night IMO. He almost won the game for us w his 2nd half performance. This guy is a super athlete that I'm going to enjoy watching this season. He stays healthy Tigers will be "in the hunt."

Thats a simplistic take. The Oline wasn’t great, but not terrible either. Better pocket awareness(simply stepping up into it a lot of times) would have helped. Daniels natural instinct is to immediately go back and outside when he feels any pressure. That doesn’t allow to keep eyes downfield and find open receivers. Which nullifies the greatest strength of this offense.

Define running QB then tell me if Tim Tebow or Cam Newton fall into that category.

Tebow is a better example of this than Cam. Cam could throw.

On the other hand, Tebow was running Meyer's spread option offense. LSU is trying to run a prostyle offense with a single-threat running QB.

If Daniels is the guy, they need to be running RPO and moving the pocket.

He ran out of necessity.

If our OL gives him more time, he will be very good this year.
