Did Kelly build the machine that freeman is navigating or did he leaving allow them to free it up and play the way we are seeing?

They are playing Ohio State. A top 5 recruiting program. I’m just surprised they are leading.

I’m not a Kelly fan but what are you “seeing”?

They’re up 3 in a sluggish game… hardly looks like a “machine”

They've held an unstoppable offense to 7 points. Theyve done in in Ohio St.

That's damn impressive.

Kelly hired Freeman and recruited every player on that field I think he deserves a little credit

I'm rooting for BK at LSU and for Notre Dame success. Why does it have to be either or?

Mike Archer had a first good year. Freeman hasn’t won a single game yet.

Kelly built it and is a solid coach. Not many are better at running an organization. You have nothing to worry about. Also, it’s one half.

Freeman is the best recruiter we’ve had since Lou Holtz, but we still don’t know if he can coach.

At this point we needn't be happy OR concerned. ND hasn't won and LSU hasn't played yet. Chill.

Freeman’s performance tonight has zero to do with Brian Kelly.

Unstoppable offense according to who? They lost 2 first round draft pick wrs and the only other good wr got hurt in the 1st quarter. They aren't running their good rb enough to make a difference.

Freeman isn’t a bad coach like everyone here is hoping. We will be fine.

We're just thinking age 35...Zero HC experience is a big deal...

He had a nice inheritance like Miles

You have to give him some credit, it’s his players. I’m not buying the “he held them back” narrative. It’s not like their offense is doing much.

This argument is just lazy and bad. We wont be able to tell for years probably. The Notre Dame fan base blamed Kelly really for having his hands on the offense and thought when Rees takes over on offense without Kelly handcuffing him, they would take off. That hasn’t happened yet for sure.

Day never has Ohio State ready to play at the beginning of the season. What’s new?

All that matters is Kelly is absolutely who we needed with where our program was at after Ed O. Excited for tomorrow.

I agree he did have a nice inheritance like Miles.

We will see how his career plays out but I think he will be pretty good. (As good as you can be at ND)
