I know most of the peons on this site are happily flying spirit, but it’s not reasonable to ask that of a mayor on a work trip.

Nobody is saying she should have been riding Spirit, you pea-brained peon. They are saying the ridiculously expensive upgrades were laughable and completely unnecessary (and it seems they were prohibited as well).

Well she’s not an employee, she’s the mayor.

And it’s just a policy. Zero legalities in a policy.

You sound like a bigger moron than the mayor's spokesperson.

Is there no ethics board that oversee her non ethical ways?

Like an attorney general of someone like that?

One has to think she receives a w-2 each year from the city, gets city employment benefits, etc. And yes, following internal policy (or not) can absolutely have implications regarding governmental ethics laws. Ask any government employee about that really annoying ethics video they have to watch every year.

If I’m her, I pay this back right this second and hope it all blows over. If she fights it, she’s likely to have problems.

All this does is make her more of a hero to Progressives. Only thing that would make her better in their eyes is if we find out she assisted some pedo in acquiring kids. Then the left would build a statue of her.

I’ve been on more than one flight with Senator Kennedy and he’s always sitting in coach.

Then why don't you pay for her upgrade? I mean if it's not a big deal and all.

JP Morrell is on WWL Radio right now.

Said there was a loophole in the policy and it did apply to elected officials. When the council found out about this two weeks ago they closed the loophole.

So today the policy applies to the mayor but it has only applied for two weeks.

went on a trip to Oktoberfest a few years ago, took a little round about excursion to get to Munich, two weeks, five countries, stayed in really nice places, five star in Lausanne, really nice 1600 sq.' apt, on the Grand Canal in Venice, another five star in Vienna before wrapping it up in Munich at another nice crib for the last few days, business class Eurail passes, day trips to Eagles Nest and a couple of other places, the whole trip didn't cost anywhere near what her recent trip to France did, could her "staff" or whoever plans these trips at least shop around?
