Being responsible is the dumbest thing you can be under this current administration

So asking people to pay back money they legally agreed to borrow to attend college is somehow analogous to "people experiencing my pain"?

When your only logic is well i paid mine off so they should too then yes...

Fwiw i didn't even need student loans and am now contributing to paying the rest of the countries off..... I'm glad it will help those that needed it.

You paid yours, and now you’ll pay theirs. Via Inflation and printed money of course. That expedites the “engineered collapse “ toward “fundamental change”. They are all in. We are going to take an arse kicking any way you cut it. Lay down or stand and fight. They say wet e happy when we don’t own anything. We’ll see pretty soon.

Unfortunately this clause doesn’t really protect people, equally or not.

Anybody who thinks this is a good idea is fricking retarded

Especially with inflation this high. It’s getting so tiring to have people think that they are owed all of this from other taxpayers. And you can see the idiots on here who think that people are entitled

It’s just not right. There are so many people that have other kinds of debt that cripples them but we are helping out people who got a degree and are wasting it

Of course there are some people who are honestly doing their best and this could help. But I guarantee the majority of people this helps made dumbass life choices or are lazy or are unwilling to work

It’s just not right

Ends justify the means, in other words? You’d make a great brownshirt.

Eta: also begs the question of whether it actually helps anyone.

Government has always rewarded irresponsible behavior. Don't have flood insurance? Here's a check. Oh you bought flood insurance, well we can't do anything for you.

You took on more debt that you couldn't handle? Here's a check. Oh, you paid off your student loans back? Oh well, you're an idiot.

Pretty frustrating for the people in this country that do the right thing.

Well Now I feel retarded for actually paying off my student loan debt which I freely and openly incurred. Should’ve just deferred them and remained in ‘good standing.’

Was fortunate enough to be awarded an Army ROTC scholarship. Worked through my undergrad years. Earned a masters degree using education benefits in the military. As a parent paid off the undergraduate education for two children, graduate education for one of them. No loans. No debt.

And this is what I get for being responsible.

So...are we eligible to get back 10k each under the equal protection clause? Why are we being discriminated against? We signed a contract and fulfilled every obligation...and made every sacrifice necessary to pay them off.

You need to make a business decision…..you’re either in the Grifter class or you’re the Griftee/victim. If you’re a responsible and productive member of society, particularly if you’re conservative, you’re a target of the Grifter class.

They shouldn't suffer anyones pain but their own. They signed for the loan..be responsible and repay as they said they would.

That's one way to look at it. Or you could view it as the government helping the most vulnerable while those who are self sufficient carry on...
