WASHINGTON – The US will dispatch another $775 million in weapons and military equipment — including rockets, drones and missile systems — to Ukraine, a senior defense official said Friday, days before the six-month anniversary of Russia’s invasion.
The package, which is expected to be officially announced later Friday, will for the first time include 40 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAPs), 16 105mm howitzers, 15 reconnaissance drones, an undisclosed number of anti-tank missile systems and 2,000 rounds of anti-armor ammunition for Carl Gustaf rifles.
