T or F - Jayden gives LSU better chance to win first few games until OL gels?

I’ll admit, I’m biased and really want Nuss to start. I just think the kid has the pedigree and the guts to play the position. He hasn’t proved it on the field though.

Harsh reality is we paid BK a bunch of money to win games, and he’s smart enough to respect the urgency. I think he starts JD against FSU simply to give him more flexibility with his legs until the OL is in a better position.

I would guess after 2-3 games, the OL should improve, and then we may see Nuss and JD split time in later part of September.

But if JD kills it with the opportunity, then that’s a win-win for tiger fans and BK. Thoughts?

We have an offensive line that definitely needs time to gel and Jayden has also passed well in practice
Hes starting to look like the clear best option for this SEASON, not just the first few games

By all reports Jayden is playing better than Nuss. Throw in his ability to run and I think the choice is clear. I’m a huge Nuss supporter though next year will be his year if he can beat out walker

Or he starts Jayden simply because he's better than Nuss right now.

If he is still working on footwork and accuracy. If the OL isn't working the running doesn't help much since he hasn't shown escapability, mostly designed runs.

Early in the season seems to be the best time to pick secondaries apart. Would rather attack with our wide receivers.

Yeah, I think at this point jd is just looking like the better option overall regardless of what the OL does. Don’t really understand why you would care one way or the other who starts at this point though unless you just don’t like the look of one of them.

Thing is I don't think Nuss will play that much this year because Jayden is getting better passing. Remember the last time he had NFL WRs he did quite well.

I was in the Brennan camp but if his mind, body, or interest is not there then I think Daniels is the best likely option simply due to his experience level.
I am higher on Nuss than I am on Howard at the present time. My short amount of observations lead me to believe he is way ahead of Howard in development.

I got murdered for saying this a few days ago. It’s the truth, though. Kelly is considering way more variables than any of us can comprehend.

The first couple of games shouldn't be an issue for the OL regardless of who the QB is.

Haven't the media been saying that he is much improved?

I know Moscona said that at the scrimmage, Nuss still had that gunslinger mentality. Said the OL was getting dominated and Nuss just threw it to the Endzone to not take a sack. Almost picked.

That may be the difference. JD may could outrun the defender or be mature enough to live for another down.

After listening to Tbob and Matt talk aobut OL, I'm a little more nervous about them. FSU is apparently in a similar situation tho.

True and his speed will be crucial against FSU. There will be broken plays and growing pains. JDs scrambling can mask some of that.

In reading comments from practice viewers yesterday, Jayden played until they entered the red zone, then Nuss played. Maybe Nuss will be the red zone QB.

If you need a running QB to start because your oline sucks that bad its already over.
