My question is if this is an all camp trend or just a today trend? If its the latter, its much less cause for concern. Also, we still have a few weeks until the first game. There's time to work it out.
Things sped up for the scrimmage compared to the practices and all of a sudden he's trying to fire off or come out of stance while still in his snapping motion.

It's more mental at this point. He does need to be more consistent with his motion, and that's physical. But, more than likely, he's got to train his mind (call it "confidence") that he has time to to do both in the proper order.

Unlike his time at OT he was often the last to know the play had started. Now he's got a head start because he knows before anyone. But his mind is still operating like an OT where you are starting behind the curve so he's rushing himself.

It's fixable with lots and lots of drills and they are going to have to do a fair amount of live and full speed contacct with guys across from him at different techniques. Your mind will react differently to a guy to the side vs. over you. He'll just have to take the bruises.

But when he does that successfully it will "click" and he will quit rushing himself.

I’m not so sure I’d consider Bech’s starting spot as safe

Bech is trending towards getting the 5th most targets if you ask me. Behind Kayshon, Nabers, Jenkins and Thomas Jr.

Problems at center - "Tough time snapping the ball at center all day." BUT - Kelly says Dellinger " he's just adjusting to the combination of snapping, calling the defense and taking steps

Ugh. This is not something lsu has dealt with much in recent memory.

A very irritating problem to watch. If you can't snap good catchable snaps it'll throw the entire offense off whack.

I swear, if poor center play is what sinks this team, I’m going to be pissed. There’s no excuse for us not to have someone on the roster that can adequately play the position.

We have somebody that can do it in Turner, but BK wants somebody bigger and stronger to play up the middle.

I watched Brian's press conference. I think he defended Dellinger a bit by saying he was getting adjusted to the move to center. He mentioned that Brian had two other responsibilities besides snapping the ball. One was calling out the front and making checks. Brian didn't seem overly worried imo.

I see a lot of Rantards know nothing about center position.

Why? Because he's been injured? I guarantee you Bech won't be 5th in any statistic..

Both QB’s will see playing time and the real starter will emerge from the game.

Because he’s never done it before? And he missed the whole Spring

And he’s a leggy 6’6” which makes it even harder. He probably muffed one or two snaps which is noteworthy but far from a concern.

It’ll be OK.

It was more than one or two, but I think most of the bad snaps came in short yardage situations when Maason Smith was lined up on top of him.

Which on the one hand is problematic, since he will have big dudes lined up across from him for a lot of the year, but it's also an expected part of learning a new position.

It's not like he's having problems with mechanics and sailing the ball in drills - he just had some trouble with the quick transition from snapping to blocking a goddam monster in live situations.

Kelly did not seem too concerned about it.

Every time the media has released clips from practice there has been at least 1 bad snap from Dellinger in it. Sometimes more than 1.
I hope he’s practicing snapping in his sleep. It’s very late to have serious problems with that.

My least favorite time of year on the Rant is when people argue about who should be starting. Like they know. Fans have their pet players, or their hometown guys, who they root for during camp. Like the Myles contingent. Or the emerging Bech cult. You know nothing. Zero. Zip. Nada.

I will trust the coaches to put the best guys out there.
