Y’all are the ones trying to pretend the white conservatives who were voting in segregation laws were someone besides your relatives.
George Wallace got 48.3% of Louisiana votes in 1968
I guess none of those 500k people had kids.

Yeah man, that forced Bussing really fixed all the problems.
And people are responsible for the deeds of their ancestors now?
Says a lot about the state of the hood I guess. You don’t want to go down that road little man. It’s a losing game.
People are responsible for their own behavior

No, but let’s stop pretending they were someone else.

I'd say that too if my party was responsible for most of our current day problems.

Let's toss all that, though, and put up something completely out of any context for the spot to honor some guy who served as governor for 39 days instead to stick it to the rest of the people that had anything to do with the city historically.
That's the point of what Sammy and his Groomers are doing. Any reference to anything that resembles unity, strength, American ideals, etc, are to be taken down and replaced.
Why couldn't a separate monument be made to this person?
Just wait till Sammy and his Groomers find out the guy was a republican. The mental gymnastics to rewrite history will be hilarious to see.

Sorry it doesn't fit your desired narrative but they were Democrats. No other us or them about it.

For years it's been a Washington Artillery monument, but they removed the cannon and it's going to be a monument to Oscar Dunn, Louisiana's black lieutenant governor, who was on office during Reconstruction.
They do realize the Washington Artillery fought for the USA in the Mexican-American War, the Spanish-American War, World-WarII, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, don't they?

I’m not pretending at all. I’m just not personally ashamed about history, nor do I otherwise want to erase all references to history. Sorry not sorry.

Great idea. Let's follow the facts!

Oh that's right, you're a trained liar. Never mind. Facts don't fit your lies.

Here's a WWLTV story from February I found by googling talking about it being changed from Washington Artillery Park to honor Oscar Dunn instead.

This pics posted here from twitter are what I saw of the cannon being removed (I saw them on the facebooks without the commentary explaining), but I had never heard of it having anything to do with this Dunn guy and couldn't find anything else online, hence the OP wondering if anyone else knew.
The OT came through for me better than any other media again.

Sammy is one of those posters that will tell you that if you are against pedophiles, that just means you hate homosexuals. In Sammy's mind, homos are pedos, but that's really what "YOU" are thinking.
Kind of like we can't call Monkey Pox "Monkey" Pox, because racist progressives think of blacks when they think of monkeys. But again, somehow, that's on you.

Wasn't a Teedy call at all.

“Muh parties switched!”
Of the 21 Democrat Senators that voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964, how many switched party affiliation? Clearly Republican is the way to go if you want to continue being a racist, right?
Why did 31% of Democrats vote against it rather than 18% of Republicans in the Senate? (It was 37% to 20% of those that voted in the House.)
Did Al Gore, Sr., who voted Nay, then go on to join those racist Republicans? You would think all those racist Southern Democrats would have all switched parties…
The point…if the “parties switched,” why didn’t they all leave in droves?

Even if this country were to Balkanize, how do you solve the problems like Teedy in New Orleans and Jackson?
Just round people up and ship them to Chicago? Is there any saving these cities ?
A smaller nation that shares non-socialist viewpoints would only need to remove or reduce the welfare programs that the non-producers survive on and simultaneously enforce existing laws and the crime and generational poverty would be fixed within a few years.
You'd see the non-producers move to the nation that would still pay them to do nothing and be backfilled by those who want to work and prosper in safety and under a system that rewards hard work.
Its why capitalism attracts the best and brightest and why socialism always leads to declining outcomes.

They are going to replace it with a gat being held sideways. A monument to idiocy
