What's the big deal? The people turning in guns probably shouldn't own them in the first place. The people that should own guns won't turn them in. If they want to get ripped off because they are paying for piece of crap guns that's their business. Vote them out of office for wasting your tax money.

Who in the world would participate in this? I can’t think of one good reason why some would just hand over a gun for nothing (or a few gallons of gas)

Starve the working class & poor and then take guns. To: those saying this will only get a few guns out of the projects. This is an excuse like what the UK said when they were for a gun ban in the beginning.
Mark my words. If Biden is allowed to continue his dictatorship... Austin & Milley will order military recruiting stations -not in use- to be a gun turn in place with token gift cards or nothing offered.
