Pretty excited but idk if you can beat Hill, Lavalais, Kyle Williams and Spears.

I know Campbell and Jones are probably going to be future All-Americans, but for them to come in right away and put our D linemen with 3-4 years experience on their arse is concerning.

Maason Smith is the only Dlinemen I have confidence in. The rest of these guys have all been average at best and that includes Olujari and Gaye.

Stop building up my expectations.

You obviously have not watched LSU football for very long!

True but they have the potential

This line is good but wouldn’t make the top 5 dlines in LSU history.
We’ve had some badass dudes come through on the dline

Olujari has been terrible against the run and has issues setting the edge. I mean he is a good dude and hopefully he has improved, but him and Gaye are mostly hype at this point.

I think the depth is the greatest asset of this group rather than individual talents. I don't see a Dorsey, Lavalais, Mingo type player, but we go 2 to 3 deep across the board so we can rotate and keep guys fresh.
Smith and Roy have the ability, but we need them to start wrecking shite. Gaye seems to have 1-2 games where he gets 3 sacks then disappears or gets hurt.

I’m not going to put that expectation on them. I don’t think it’s fair to put that high of an expectation on anyone. That said, I do believe they will be damn good and I’m excited for that.

That would be awesome, but this D-line has a lot to accomplish to even be compared to our 2003 D-line. Chad Lavalais, Marcus Spears, Marquise Hill and Kyle Williams were as good as it gets.

Only time will tell us if they can stack up to that great line.
