Does anyone think we will see any changes to the field this season? Every real coaching change brought a change to the field paint.

(inb4 "the coaches don't have any say as to what goes on the field, nor do they care.")

Saban era had the retro (70s, I believe) style endzone with the Eye of the Tiger at midfield.

Miles kept the Eye with the "Geaux Font" LSU in the endzones.

Do we think we will see something new during the Kelly era?

What says The Rant?

I know I'll get shite on, but I wouldn't hate it if they went away from the eye at the 50.

I wouldn't either, I'm kinda surprised they haven't tried the updated Mike the Tiger head at the 50.

Sure, replace it with a big Toonces head to honor the troops:

I wouldn’t mind that being at midfield but I think the eye of the tiger has become pretty iconic at this point.

There is nothing iconic about the generic geaux font endzones.

If you want a classic look go back to the LSU/Tennessee game from 200

The eye has become a unique football trademark. They use the tiger head more for every other sport. Plus, I think it is a bigger pain to have to repaint the tiger head before each game.

The end-zones are a different story. There is nothing particularly unique about those and I'm surprised they haven't changed them up from time to time over the last (nearly_ 20 years.

my favorite end zone style. they used to also paint the eye larger than they do now... but that is nitpicky.

Who said we need iconic/classic? The 2000 look is nostalgic, but would look extremely outdated.

To answer OP, no there is nothing to change with the field. Tiger eye on the 50 & purple/gold endzones forever

I know why they introduced the Geaux Font (it's something that can be trademarked and licensed), but I feel like it came off the logo of some software app. There is nothing traditional or strong about it. Looks like lettering for a west coast school that plays at odd times on ESPN.
