Damn, I thought this was going to be a string about lesbians, or at least lesbian porn.

I bought a date just Rolex a few weeks ago that I figured was fake but passed an eye test. Of course it ended up being fake. I just can’t see why pay 10x more for one

Saw a video that Rolex is a non profit organization? Something you didn't know.

Excellent movie... Great cast, writing. Dry humor...

Watch market has been going down since April. Have patience. Getting a watch at msrp from an AD isn't going to change much especially if you are looking for a SS sports model but if you are wanting lesser desirable pieces like TT datejusts, Milgauss, Explorer's, Oyster Perpetuals, Yacht Master's etc you will start to see these in cases. Grey prices are coming down weekly. With another .75 rate hike scheduled for September this is only going to continue many of the Grey's bought at all time highs and are way over leveraged. Now is your chance to low ball them on offers. Many are still asking delusional prices hoping to rope in a sucker.

These were trading for $40k and up in March. You can get a black dial for $28k right now. The prices are coming way down. Asking prices are just that the actual sold price on these is much lower.

The watch market, in general, reminds me of crypto in more ways than one.
Personally, no matter the wealth, something in a mid-range Omega is the most I’d ever consider paying for a watch.

Omega makes great watches. So do other brands. My AD has told me all the Rolex/AP/Patek hysteria has done wonders for his other brands like Omega, Breitling, etc. People that can't get a Rolex at msrp have simply given up and moved onto other brands that are far cheaper and easier to get.

At the start of Covid, I actually had the thought "huh, I wonder if I can catch some good deals on used luxury watches because people feel a financial squeeze..." only to watch the watch market skyrocket from that point on. I've given up on trying to figure it out

My wife (then fiancé) gave me an Omega Seamaster as an engagement present since I bought her a ring about 20 years ago. I haven’t looked at the pricing since until today and it’s interesting that I can likely sell it for equal or greater than she paid for it then. I never thought a watch would hold or increase in value having worn it. I assumed it would be like a car.

Only poor wear a watch. True ballers wear a timepiece.

This is the upper-class Baw equivalent to oil field Baws selling their F-350's.

I’ve been trying to determine how much money I want to spend without feeling guilty. Currently looking at an Omega Planet Ocean 8900 for around 3500. Also looked at Ball Engineer M Skindiver but that would be MSRP as nobody is really selling them. Not a big fan of many others at lower prices as I want a durable watch that won’t scratch easy so looking at sapphire or ceramic bezels. Would like a COSC watch so I won’t have just jewelry on getting -45/+35 s a day
