Jay is great but overall more kids are going to college due to the new draft structure. Last years haul was even better than this years. You can’t really count anyone out unless they are no brain eta like Mitchell or konnor griffin

to further that only one of those kids from last year class signed for under 2M and that kid still signed for 1M but the rest was 2M+

Doesn’t feel real that we only lost Mitchell.

Sadly, we missed out on getting to call him Rake Mitchell. Would've been one of the coolest Tiger baseball nicknames.

Draft signings have finally started. Nothing affecting LSU yet, but I saw the Braves signed their second rounder. Hopefully that kicks off a flurry of news in that direction.

Do you have a go to draft signings tracker site? I found this one. LINK

That's what I use to track bonus numbers so I don't have to keep a sheet myself. Jim Callis from mlb.com is a guy I follow on twitter for breaking news on signings.

Spotrac doesn't update too often from what I remember.

Braves and a few other teams have their own tracker if you search on google MLB draft signings. Looks like Waldrep signed for just shy of 3M. 3.2 was his slot.

Braves have signed 6 of their top 10 rounds

Seems the MLB draft tracker and the Spotrac is a little behind and only updates every so often.

A lot of teams have diligent fans on their SBNation sites that put up good trackers. It's kind of like what we do here.

Can't find anything on the Twins, Rangers, and Cardinals.

Viva El Birdos is the Cardinals SB Nation site, they'll track the draft picks as they happen, but I don't think they ever put together a spreadsheet like some of the other sites.

The first one I remember doing that is the Blue Jays site several years ago. Like when they drafted Papierski out of high school.

Cardinals have zero chance of getting to Johnson's number, which hints at why he has said he is coming.

Don't know Larson's number but I would guess it was around 1-1.5 million. Also very unlikely they can get to it. If he sticks to his number, I can't see him not making it to campus as well.

I believe Brown's number was 2.6 million, which I don't see how that is possible either unless they botch up a lot of other picks' deals.

While natural instinct is to be pessimistic about getting these guys, I don't see an avenue that they don't all make it to campus unless they knock their number down significantly.

The track record is showing a lot of these high schoolers that you can grow, mature and get better with 2/3 years in college. College players are excelling and rising quick through minors. Unless you are getting life changing money, college is almost a better option.

If you are not mature enough to handle that lifestyle right out of high school, going to college is the next best thing.

Even for a non athlete, most high school kids are not ready for the real world.

100% agree with you. I just mentioned those 3 teams because they are the only ones that really matter to LSU fans as far as signings go. Will still keep up with their signings more than others beside actual LSU players and what they get paid.

You’ve proven you aren’t mature enough to handle watching this baseball team.

Someone on the On3 recruiting board posted a few minutes ago

"Don't expect Hill. I really really like where we stand with Montgomery."

I have no idea if this person is an insider or their track record, but I will choose to believe.
