According to Jeremy Hill, Daniels was given most of the 1st-team reps after the media left

Jeremy spilled the beans lol. He said the coaching staff threw a curveball during the media portion (not a surprise), but after the media left most reps went to Daniels. In the spring BK mentioned that they were working on Daniels’ technique to improve his accuracy, so I guess he’s made decent strides. He also worked with the receivers extensively during the summer and we know it’s all about rapport!

Just means they want to see what he can do with the starters, doesn’t mean anything more than that. He’s been very inaccurate up to this point

Yeah, I imagine he might not be invited to post-press practice time anymore. Also, I still don't think any of this matters. It could be completely different come tomorrow.

I think a lot of us have viewed Daniels as an after thought because we don’t know him very well and he has had ups and downs. He is obviously the best choice as agility and speed goes, if his passing impresses coaches in camp I could definitely see him as the starter.

Maybe, just maybe, he was assigned more reps because he needs the extra work because he isn't where the coaching staff wants him to be?

There are a lot of people on this board that suffer from Myles Brennan derangement syndrome. Nuss is going to start so it really doesn't even matter, but the fact still remains - Daniels is a more accurate passer than Myles

People are basing Daniels not starting because he did not look good in the spring game. He could have improved significantly since then but that would have to be a big jump in what 3 months? It’s possible I guess. If he’s the best over the next 3 weeks then he starts.

I suspect each of the three QBs will have days where they get the most reps with the "first team". There are no preseason games, so that is the best way the staff can evaluate them in practice. Thus, it shouldn't be a surprise if Brennan gets "most of the 1st team reps" tomorrow...and Nussmeier the next day.
If this was reported on, say, August 25th, it might mean more. Today? Not that big of a deal.
