the death of sammy's started when Table Fresh Produce was purchased by Capitol City Produce and Sammy's lost its commissary. The food took a nose dive, like those cheese logs. Table Fresh was making everything for Sammy's and was doing so on the cheap comparatively speaking.

Sammy was also not very financially responsible. He had a personal driver that would drive him back and forth from North Louisiana and around pretty much everywhere. Personally heard him say he hadn't driven a car in 3 years

Something needs to come into the Prairieville location. Chimes would do great there(even though I am not a big fan)

The fish bowls of beer back in the day were nice.

I loved their fried eggplant in Central.
The last time i went was about a year before it close.
The eggplant was still good but everything else was bad.

Maybe I was in on the tail end of it, but back around 2008-2010 there was some real talent at the Zachary location. It felt like the minute those girls left, it was a steady decline. Not sure if they went to walk on’s or just grew up, but back in the day it was nice.

If they had just concentrated on one location….it would still be great….

Sammys Zachary had true talent during the summer and weekends when college was out. During the school year at lunch, it was a different scene.

Screwing over Jason and then losing him was the issue. That guy built it and had loyal and good staff. Highland was good, but that guy started the crawfish and added solid seafood dishes and specials that took it to another level that Sammy would have never hit

Sammy fricked things up trying to be a big wheel.

Couldn't believe we went there one night and I heard they had BBQ Shrimp if you asked for it. I ordered it and they actually brought out boiled shrimp with Kraft tasting BBQ sauce. Never went back.

Their "off the menu" Shrimp Bienvenue was one of my favorite appetizers ever.

So does Sammys on Highland still suck? Count me as a part of the BR crowd that grew up going there in the late 90s and through the early 2000s. I think it was around 2016 when I quit going.

It was taken over by Stabiler and it’s okay. Not nearly sucky like it was at the end before he took it over, but much smaller menu.

Chimes would print money at that location. I would love that.

Fricked Jason over, Jason left, end of story. Sammy is a jackass.
