Who isn't an arrogant arse?

It is tiresome to deal with.

You don't sound like a very gentlemanly scholar.

As someone who moved to Louisiana for college, it's bizarre how much people focus on where so and so went to HS.

It's really only a Louisiana thing.

I'm an adult. I don't keep track of where other adults went to high school.

Jesuit alum here

This question reeks of jealousy and bitterness.

Yes. Had a analytical chem lab partner at LSU that I ended up helping get a job after we graduated. Years later I was laid off and he returned the favor and got me back to work. He and his fiancé just left for Louisiana for CO, and my wife and I may be joining them soon. Solid dude who was there for us when we fell on hard times, coincidentally probably the least arrogant/most introspective people I know.

Most of my wife's male cousins went there. A bunch of fricking douchebags, ever last one of them. Not a single one has a redeeming quality about them. Once sold his car his parent bought him for $40k to start a business. LOST EVERY dime of it. His daddy restarted the business and paid people to run it and now his son claims he is a successful businessman. His daddy is literally working in his 70's to run a business for his son in his 30's to live off of. Daddy is well off, a successful engineer who was more into political contracts than engineering stuff. He traded in the first wife for one 20 years younger, this is where the younger kids come from.

There are three houses next to my MILs house in Southdowns that all have Jesuit signs in the yard.

They seem like good folks.

One of my post-grad running mates was a Jesuit HS guy. He was cool AF but yeah he still had that thing you mention at times, not directed at me but other people he could be an arse.

And several knew in grad school, some cool, some douchey, all had that streak. It’s funny in a dude that isn’t shite but still acts all cocky.

I make it a point to blackball anyone who brings up their HS in a job interview. Has worked out well so far.

My Dad though it was the 1950s... Near the center middle row with the sweet hair! Freshman year. He actually knew Tad Gormley at this point.
