It was all a charade. Both sides.
There’s likely a deal for something in place now.

making sick veterans wait 2 more years for the Republicans to get a PR win becuase Trump is president is just a dumb idea. Also the back lash on the repulicans was huge. You don't want to go into Nov elecitons giving the Dems ammo because you voted against veterans.

from my understanding the VA was not recongizing burn pits as the cause of veterans cancer and other side affects of the burn pits. this bill recognizes that and increases funding for those treatments.
