Most cities have “restrictions” but how are they even enforced?

Heavy fines from the water district. They have people on payroll for patrols. I had a customer during the last drought that received a $5000 water bill because he wanted to water 5 days a week.

How do they know if you haven’t just installed new sod and need to hit it hard?

I had to go to haslet Texas for work. Dry as can be and all the road work is creating nothing but dust.

It looked like it was going to rain for a little while I was stuck at DFW for 11 hours yesterday thanks to American Airlines.

Your "need" to water sod doesn't factor into their decisions regarding water conservation.

I live 15 minutes North of San Antonio. We've gotten plenty of rain in the last month.

I'm between 1604 and 410 and we've gotten all of like 1 inch combined the last 3 months. It has rained "hard" one time for about an hour or so since beginning of May.

Climate change babee!

I watch a YT meteorologist and I replied to him to layoff the hotter than ever and for the next 60 day record heat and dry as a dusty bone talk in his videos. It's clickbait and it makes me sick here under the heat dome.

We live in Ellis county south of Dallas. Got 3.66 inches in 37 minutes a couple of weeks ago. But that is it. 30 minutes after it stopped couldn’t tell it even rained.

The water companies develop detailed information about a customer's water usage. A few months ago I got a call from out local utility advising me that I had a toilet constantly running. I checked the gas bathroom, and sure enough, they were right. If you're watering more than 2 days a week here, they know about it.

Plano here, absolutely dying - not a drop that I’ve seen, but heard rumors of some raindrops a few miles east of here yesterday. I gave up on saving the lawn for the most part, but need to keep the pool filled which is an every other day exercise now.

Subtle "I'm well off enough to have a bathroom for shite and a bathroom for just gas." brag?

When it rains just enough to make you want to contemplate stepping in front of a dump truck.

Little-to-no breeze and every glass surface in sight is fogged up.

I bought 25 acres NW of Houston and the pond is almost dry. I have someone coming Wednesday to dig it out and make it bigger, I’m hoping it stays dry at least one more week and makes that work a lot easier.

I think we’ve recorded rain here in BR everyday for the past 3 weeks

It seems like all storm systems have a tendency to seek out Louisiana and sit on them. It rained all the time when we lived in BR. I remember this as I could hardly ever grill because it was raining all the time during the summer. I can grill all the time in Texas haha
