No link or anything, my wife is a teacher at private school, leaving public school after 5 years.

Lafayette dioceses sent out notice that LPSS doesn’t plan to back teacher (shocker) in the event the teacher doesn’t call kid by preferred pronoun. The teacher would face penalties like losing retirement pension.

The quality of teachers in public school will be dramatically lower in the next few years compared to 10-20 years ago.

So just call them by name. Easy.

Hey....who are we to stop children from living their truth? If the little shits think they're a dolphin or squirrel who are we to protest? Chunk em in the pool or throw a handful of peanuts at them and keep rolling is what I say.

I'm struggling to understand the preferred pronoun thing.
What I mean is what if it's uncomfortable for the person speaking to say such ridiculous things? Especially "they/them."

And how can you expect someone to always get it right? "Extreme penalties" Good grief. We're being ridiculous caving to this crap.

This doesn’t make sense, LPSS and Diocesan schools are governed by different entities. Why is diocese worried about wtf LPSS is doing for this.

Really tho, and forget the teachers, imagine being in 6th grade with some dude who identifies as a girl and you are forced to call them that.

We made fun of kids for just normal weirdness…

Right, the diocese sent it out ahead of the public statement from LPSS, to let parents know they won’t be following that nonsense, as the diocese usually tries to follow lpss.

Maybe it's a good recruiting tool for the ir school system? Private schools pay teachers less than public schools, after all.

Just more of the emasculation of society. They're building a coalition of outcasts and the pronouns are their cult symbol.

That is not going to help with the current teacher shortage.
