When idiots who’ve never had much wealth suddenly have immense wealth dropped on them, they have no idea how to manage it.

I get what you saying though OP. Money brings out the worst in people is a true saying. I know the daggers came out when we sold the family business. You would have to skip town and live on a big spread in bfe or a gated compound

Money may not make someone happy but it gives them opportunities that may not have previously had.
while not impossible, I feel it would be very difficult to blow through this weeks jackpot.
If you struggle that much with financial education, take the annuity so you can get money each year rather than all up front.
