We saw this same thing play out in the 90s with the AIDS epidemic.
When the media starts bending over backwards to convince us that heterosexuals can catch it just as easily as homos, you know the fix is in.

Common fricking sense is in short supply for “experts” during stuff like this.
A lot of stuff said about AIDS in the 80s was true yet the media pushed the “straight people get it too” story.
The latter is true but someone like Ryan White getting it via blood transfusion was extremely rare and caused by an infected person giving blood when they should have known not to.

Question from the slow learner in the back corner of the class room (me): If gay men would stay out of each other's asses for 2 - 3 months, wouldn't the disease, for all practical purposes, die due to a lack of new cases or infections? Assuming currently infected individuals are seeking treatment, and will be healed, abstinence, for a time, would seemingly drive the disease back into test tubes or vials in scientific labs.
