request from a teacher before they get back to babysitting kindergartners

Teachers are so pathetic. Saw this on fb and wanted to vomit. Every time I have to download that app to sell something on marketplace I wish I’d just kept my old junk.

I guess I don't see what's super wrong with this? A little odd if a request, but basically it's saying teach your kid manners and kindergarten is a big jump up.

The overall point that school lunch is a big adjustment for kids starting school is not unreasonable, but the writing, like a bunch of women on Facebook, is very cringe

Some of us were sent to school to fend for ourselves and eat whatever crap the lunchroom had to offer on a given day.
ETA: And we rode a bus with no AC to get there and there was no "pickup lines".

I thought kindergarten was only half a day and they ate lunch at home? And the only real requirement was that you knew how to tie your shoes, wipe your butt and wash your hands after using the bathroom.

I like the trash part . I worked a field trip with my daughters class and the shite these kids put back in their lunch kit was hilarious. Like kid you don’t need to bring your sandwhich crust back home .

frick practicing lunch. Work with them to learn letters, numbers, counting, and at least attempting to write. They will figure lunch out. Lack of school readiness in those other things will only increase the chances of your “kiddo” becoming another negative statistic in Louisiana schools.

Up until a few years ago, Kentucky had half-day kindergarten. The state only recently started full funding full day for all incoming students.

anybody that takes the time to "practice lunch" is almost assuredly doing all of those things as well
