“The only thing I would say is the main difference is probably that we are working in a different way. Our strength staff, Coach [Jake] Flint, and the other weight room guys, do an amazing job,” linebacker Mike Jones Jr said.
“They’re really data based, and data driven. We’re constantly wearing things that are going to track out speed, how much we’ve been running, and even the way we lift,” Jones said. “They’ve done a really great job of taking care of the guys and our bodies and making sure we are going to go into camp really healthy. And to be in a position to make a run and have a good year of college football.”

But the most important component is making sure these players aren’t just healthy and ready to go for the season opener against Florida State but for those grueling SEC matchups in October, November and December. That takes a detailed level of planning and organization that certainly can’t totally eradicate injuries, which are a part of the game, but rather put the team in a better situation to withstand some of those issues.
“I think our numbers look pretty good. Our GPS numbers show a fitness that will have us prepared for Florida State,” Kelly said.

Looks like it was time for a change with Moffitt.
I’m really liking what we’re hearing from the program Flint is running.

are our numbers anything better than other top tiered programs? what are we comparing data to?

Interesting.
So what does Kole Taylor look like today?

reminds me of the 2011(Edt) season when so much emphasis was put into off season conditioning in order to be physically prepared to keep up with Oregon and their fast paced offense. We wore the ducks' asses out. Why we did not treat every offseason like that is beyond me

We didn't look in shape or fit the last two years. I'm betting we look much better strength and conditioning wise September 4th

The fact that this wasn't being done years ago. Just SMH

But every July Moffitt would go on local radio saying this is the strongest most in-shape group of guys he has ever had and this board would drool over move in photos of the player’s bodies.

Watch the spring game... significantly improved in my opinion. Looks better blocking at point of attack, and much more comfortable carrying 30 extra lbs then when he got to school. He's gotta be licking his chops with how much Kelly would like to use a te.
The structured approach ties in well with the overall theme of accountability. Can't take days off, and imbeds that mindset for your lift, conditioning, practice reps.

YES

To the overall improvement of the individual results based upon baseline testing.
Do you not see what they are doing as a positive? They have implemented what is an up to date, top tier conditioning program utilizing some of the latest technology available. They have drastically improved the nutrition aspect as well as supplement diagnosis. Have you not been paying attention since the new S?C coach was hired?

Moffitt definitely didn’t change with the times. Dude is an awesome S&C coach though

Biggest change from Moffit has been the emphasis now on nutrition

It had BEEN time for a change from Moffitt. Outphysicaled and pushed around in many games over the last 5 years.

The fact that players made note of mentioning "supplements" as part of their nutrition program as something new telsl you all you need to know.
This is not a knock on Moffit, only that the emphasis on the minutia of conditioning has been taken to different level.

There is one idiot on this board that wouldn't blame moffitt.
It is clear he was falling behind the times. Very, very clear.
