That's usually what it takes for police to actually do something to stop street racing. They don't generally give a shite until someone gets killed, then they will make a big show about rounding up the pieces of shite they should have gotten off of the street long ago.

Street races has always been a thing. Whites do it in more rural areas where they are not taking out powerlines in a city that will leave a bunch of people without power.
But the whites are more into mudding. There are kids always getting caught or run off for mudding in cane fields around where I live. They are fricking idiots because if the landowner or the sugar farmer decides to take legal action they they could get in trouble (but with all the subsidies cane farmers get, it not really a big concern... until someone gets hurt or killed and someone gets sued).
I might be wrong, but I think the street racing blacks in baton rouge was going on, but much more low key then during Covid it became more popular. Take that and a fricked up police department with a dumbass in charge and they are no where around when they decide to do it on a road with a lot more traffic then they will keep doing it.
How does it happen on College Drive and Government and at no point a policeman doesn't pass around the area where the can see it? You think this shite would have gone on under Leduff?

Just got back from a month in Houston area. Didn't see any of this nonsense. Finally got back to BR around 7 today and by the 10/12 split had 4 cars pass me at least going 90 mph weaving in and out of traffic. 2 challengers a kia and an altima. Made me wanna turn back around

After the damage to the utility poles, I am surprised the vehicle that hit it is driveable. The cops should be able to spot these vehicles crawling down the road with that type of damage.
