Booked flights outta Houston to greece(Athens) for early June next year with Air France (short layover in Paris) and return flights were with KLM (layover in Amsterdam). Are these airlines decent or am I in for a shite show ?

I flew klm connecting to delta in AMS and didn't have any issues (pre-covid). I've heard it's an absolute mess right now though

We've had good experiences with KLM.

Not sure if one can really distinguish between airlines as they all can have their issues and challenges, particularly.

Favorite has been British Airways.

I've flown KLM several times with no issues. I definitely prefer them over AA.

And I appreciate the replies fellas. It’s a long way out before this trip but 750$ pp round trip to Greece seemed way too good to pass up.

Amsterdam is a mess right now. We had bad delays two weeks ago with AF/Delta flights. Hopefully next year will be much better for you.

In my experience, most international airlines are head and shoulders above any US carriers. Especially pos AA.

Air France a few times. I don’t remember having any particular problems with them. They are fine.

As far as in flight service, international carriers all blow the domestics away. I've never had issues at the airport or with layovers either, but any airline can have that. International is fairly rare as its mostly veteran crews and they can't screw those up as there are a lot of tickets and people on the line. Plus they need the planes.

I flew KLM coming back from Buenos Aires. Stayed up all night partying at the club. Got on the plane at 7 am and all I remember was a concerned Dutch man handing me a stroopwaffle before I passed out for the duration of the flight. Would fly again.

KLM has somewhat better service? That’s what I was told.

The airport itself is known for long delays. Without fail, we were delayed several hours. The staff at the airport were all very friendly but there was a noticeable lack of concern and general disorganization.

Love KLM and Schiphol but supposedly their delays right now are epic. I would make it a minimum 8-12 hour connection.

Both last November. KLM AMS to Zurich and Air France Zurich to Paris. Both were fine.

Appreciate the replies fellas.

The only thing I’m a little nervous about is the short layovers. An hour going and 1.5 coming back. I’m sure it’ll be fine.
